Snoezelen Room (“Snooze-a-len”)

Stress is a fact of everyday life but there is an island of calm close by. Participation Lodge has the area’s only Snoezelen Room. Originally designed in Holland, these rooms are used to promote relaxation in people suffering from sensory and learning disabilities. Whether for therapeutic purposes or just stress relief, a reduction in the noise factor of daily life benefit body and mind. Snoezelen delivers sensory experiences that stimulate the primary senses of sight, hearing, touch and smell.

The mirrored white room provides complete control over lighting and audio levels. You can choose complete quiet or pleasant atmospheric music. Suspend yourself in our unique leaf-chair or float on the waterbed. Our Snoezelen Room is offered for public use at a nominal cost to cover maintenance and upkeep.
